Black Magic SubstrateSubstrate is Pasteurized at 145°F For 4hrs 100% Free of Contamination & Odors ✔ Can Be Stored In Refrigerator For Months! 🥶 Advanced Grow Tek Instructions:*(ADVANCED LEVEL KIT) : Requires Monotub, Dubtub, or Shoebox for kit Compatibility* (1st Step) Place Black Magic Substrate in refrigerator for later, this will keep it from drying out. Procced to clean the injection port area of your whole oats bag with preferably alcohol. (2nd Step) Shake & Inject Liquid Culture syringe via the injection port. (5cc - 12cc) Obtained via a reputable third party. Shake grain bag for 1 minute. Place grain bag in the dark at room temperature. (3rd Step) Once 30 - 40% colonized, shake the grain bag allowing the mycelium to spread more evenly, thus increasing the colonization time. (4th Step) When fully colonized, prepare an appropriately sized monotub, dubtub, or shoebox by cleaning the surface area with alcohol or any disinfectant. You can add a liner to your set up as an option to prevent side pins. Grab your Black Magic Substrate and Colonized grain bag and procced to disinfect the bags as well.(5th Step) You can put on gloves for this step. Make sure to disinfect gloves or hands before proceeding. Dump 70% of your Black Magic Substrate into your set up, along with all of your now colonized grains and mix together. (6th Step) Add the last 30% of your Black Magic Substrate on top. Spread it out evenly, this will help cover up any exposed grains.(7th Step) Obtain a spray bottle and disinfect it. Pour a new unopened bottle of water into the spray bottle. If you don't have any new water bottles, you may boil any type of water and then cool it for use.(8th Step) Use the spray bottle to mist the sides of your setup and give the top layer of the substrate a generous spray. This will help with keeping the humidity up. Don't forget to spray the bottom of the lid as well.(9th Step) Close the tub with lid, and place in the dark at room temperature until fully colonized.(10th Step) Once fully colonized you want to introduce fresh air to promote pinning (FAE). You can achieve this by flipping the lid to your tub (make sure to sanitize the top of the lid). This creates a gap that will allow fresh air exchange. During this time, you want to maintain room temperatures and mist the sides and bottom of the lid. Don't let the walls of your tubs dry out!Mushrooms will then start pinning, within that week if you successfully followed these steps. Enjoy!
