Description: LOT OF THIRTEEN (13) Cleveland, Ohio LINEN POSTCARDS BRAND NEW/UNCIRCULATED POSTCARDS circa 1940's GENERAL DETAILS: NOTE: Only 11 of 13 of the postcards are pictured above individually because eBay doesn't provide enough space. We left all the landmark postcards in but left out the Edgewater Park scene and the Fine Arts Garden because those are the two 'least exciting' ones. You can see the small version of them in the main pic with all 13 postcards. These linen postcards are in about as perfect of condition as they can be for being almost 80 years old. (They are actually BRAND NEW, NEVER CIRCULATED.) They come from a non-smoking house. They had never been out of their original, factory boxes until we removed them ourselves a few years ago because the outer boxes were beginning to deteriorate. They have been in my family since the early 1980's when my father bought a relatively large collection. These postcards were still in the original paper bands that held them together in packs of 100 when they were shipped from the printing company when we got them. They are from around the 1940's. The back of the cards say "Colorcraft - Made by the Dexter Press, Pearl River, N.Y." and "Published by Milton Candy and Tobacco Co., Cleveland Ohio" plus there is a little blurb about each of the subjects of the postcards. I have been unable to locate any information at all on either company, Milton Candy especially. If you search on The Dexter Press, you locate other postcards made by them. We don't know how many cards came in a "set" but there are numbers at the bottom of each card. WE ARE NOT EXPERTS ON POSTCARDS, SO PLEASE ASK SPECIFIC QUESTIONS IF THE INFO ABOVE IS INSUFFICIENT. WE HAVE LARGER QUANTITIES OF SOME OF THESE POSTCARDS SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MORE THAN WE HAVE LISTED, FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US AND WE CAN LIST MORE. 1.
