Description: Primitive Folk Art Antique Punched Tin & Wood Foot Warmer, Heart Design, c. 1760 - 1820. This is rare primitive foot warmer made of punch decorated tin that sits inside and wooden frame. The punched tin is in a heart design and this one even has the tin bowl insert where the hot ash would be placed to warm one's feet. This has a wire latch on the door to keep it shut during use. It also has a wire handleon top to carry it when it is lit. This fine example of early Americana is compete and in remarkably good condition considering the age and the fact that it is made of wood and tin and carried red hot ash to warm a cold foot. I offer this primitive foot warmer here with no reserve and a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: The foot warmer is 5 7/8" H. 7 3/4" W. x 8 7/8" L.. CONDITION: The condition is very good with some wear as expected to both the wood and tin. There are also a couple of rust holes to the tin ash bowl inside the foot warmer.
