Description: This is a 1951 Topps Blue Back baseball card of the Detroit Tigers' second baseman Gerald "Gerry" "Jerry" Priddy.. There were two subsets of these cards, 52 Red Backs cards and 52 Blue Backs cards. The Blue Backs are more uncommon than the Reds. These were designed to create a card playing game for kids, with numerous plays and games situations printed on the obverse, in the lower-right-hand corner. The lower-left-hand corner of the obverse has a statistic about the player. This is card #46 in the B Series of the 1951 set of 52 cards. It was sent to PSA for authentication and encapsulation and was given a grade of VG-EX 4 (Very Good-Excellent 4), and a Certification Number of 74170499. Mr. Priddy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the New York Yankees team that won the World Series in 1941.
