Description: This Kit contains 12 cubes = 2.0 ozand 27 small chips on 3M tape to bring the total to 2.3-2.35 oz.The 3M VHB industrial double sided tape will hold the chips anywhere you want on your car.So you can fine tune incrementally to the closest 0.01 oz (1/100th of an oz) anywhere between 0.01 and 2.0 oz. AND have a movable 3 gram square to fine tune your DFW weight.The smallest chips ( 1/6th inch square by 4/100 in thick ) can be safely attached with scotch tape for testing, and then peel the backing off and permanently attach the small chips.Compare to other products where the smallest plate weighs 1.77 grams and our chip weighs only 0.33 grams.Some kits advertise as incremental when the smallest step in weight is even greater.Set a 3×3 chip square on your scale, add your almost finished car & weights. Adjust until you are close to 5 oz., but leave the 3×3 square free to place on top of your car.Note: we can add almost the entire 2 oz behind the back axle even when the axle is shifted 1/4″ closer to the rear. [ recommended for both speed and track clearance in the curve ]The first set up: add the 3×3 as far back as possible on the DFW side. We get 15 grams on the DFW. [your car may be different]Test 2: move the 3×3 to the front of the car. Now we get a 19 gram DFW.This gives you the capability to change your DFW by 4 grams while keeping the balance on the back wheels and keeping total car weight at 5 oz.When you are happy with where you want the tuning weights- peel off the back and permanently attach them.It is recommended you also cover the entire assembly with metal tape or scotch packing tape over the edges to prevent digging or hopping in the stop section if you put any chips on the bottom of the car.The ability to fine tune your DFW weight by 4grams is a big help.
