Description: This basket is handmade by the Boganda tribe of Uganda, East Africa. It is approximately 12" in diameter and 3 1/2" deep. It is made of sisal and sweetgrass. There is an attached loop for hanging or you can use it for serving bread or other dried foods. I just returned from Uganda and have several African items for sale. Please check my other listings. All African items I list for sale are guaranteed to be made in Uganda, Kenya, or Rwanda. None are Asian imports! I freeze all my African products for several days to eliminate any pests that might hitchhike for the ride. No pesticides are used so the baskets are food safe.
