Description: This is a terrific glossy 5x7 photograph of the late, legendary caricature artist Al Hirschfeld which has been autographed (in his beard) by the artist himself. This was signed for me in the early 1990s when I had correspondence and phone interviews with the artist who was also a fellow St. Louisan. This is one of the items he signed for me. He signed his trademark HIRSCHFELD with black ink on his beard. Sort of hidden in the beard, you might say. Of course the watermark "ebay" does not appear on the item. Excellent condition. This is a great RARE actual signed photo of the artist. Note: this is not some preprint or reprint of some nature; this is the actual autographed item up for auction.
