Description: Beautiful, new, lightweight and warm decorative Alpaca wool blankets/throw. Elegant more delicate in a solid color off white (these blankets may have 1 or 2 specks of brown since alpacas have different colors in their wool) All are unique since are handmade. Very smooth and warm. Alpaca is 40% warmer than sheep’s wool, yet it wicks moisture away much more efficiently. Alpaca items are hypoallergenic, they may show some shedding at the beginning but this will go away with use; also the coloring is mostly organic, trying to use the least of chemical dyes specially to get a white color. IMPORTANT: Materials are: 80% alpaca 20% acrylic. So yes it does have acrylic. ** Please pay attention to the percentages. People have asked me about this. There may be other blankets that are 100% alpaca or baby alpaca. (I have not found those in my trips) That will change the softness and also the price of the blanket, so check around until you find what you like. Size approximately: 90” x 65” or 230 cm x 165 cm so a Twin size. A little bit of info about these blankets, they come from Ecuador a beautiful country in South America. Because of the Andes elevations above 12,000 feet, alpacas have a highly warm soft wool. Alpacas are smaller than llamas. For care: please think of these as cashmere, are very delicate so please dont wash them often, dry clean recommended. If you can and have space in your home wash them with cold water and let it airdry. To brush the hair you can use a clean shoe brush and gently follow the direction of the hair.
