Description: A beautiful antique American coin silver snuff box with hinged lid, engine turned engravings with fine-line patterns and decorative borders. Perhaps it had an intended use other than snuff, not sure. Engraved with the name "C. Rowland Hall," who apparently was a rector at the Church of St. Matthias in Philadelphia in the mid-19th century. Perfectly constructed, just beautiful craftsmanship, much like the work of Samuel Pemberton.
