Description: Beautiful antique Globe-Wernicke No. 83C solid oak index card filing box. The company is located in Cincinnati. The box measures 5 1/2" long x 3 1/8" deep x 4 1/8" tall. Inside is 5 1/8 " long x 2 3/4" deep x 3 3/4" tall. The box is constructed of 3/16" thick oak and uses finger joints for strength.Broken Hines were replaced with period appropriate ones. Refinished with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. Excellent condition. All joints are solid. No cracks, scratches or splits in the wood. Felt pads to protect bottom. No reserve! Shipping weight approximately 1 1/2 pounds. Very Fast Handling! Ships day after payment is received.
