Description: The Grand Antique Mall, located Cincinnati, Ohio, presents an Antique Globe-Wernicke Company of Cincinnati 3-Stack Oak Barrister Bookcase. Created in the 1920s. Slide-in glass doors have a central solid brass knob. The metal side bands add a stately aesthetic to the piece, while providing extra solidity. All 3 shelf backs have a Globe Wernicke sticker that reads: D-8-1/2 Grade 299. The strong, sturdy, versatile bookshelf is ideal for the home, office, library, or shop display. GLOBE-WERNICKE began in 1882 as the Cincinnati based Globe Files Company. Globe purchased Otto Wernicke’s company in 1899 and is best known for its high-end stacking bookcases. DIMENSIONS: 43.25”H x 34”W x 12.5”D. Each shelf is 32” wide and 9.5” deep. TOP & BOTTOM SHELVES=Size D-8-1/2 GRADE 299 (Shelf height is 8.5”). MIDDLE SHELF=Size D-10-1/4 GRADE=299 (shelf height is 10.25”). WT=135 lbs. CONDITION: Very Good condition inside and out. Solid and sturdy. No cracks, chips or repairs noted. Glass covers have no breaks or repairs. Very top of unit has some light scratches. Dusting and glass cleaning needed!
