Description: This is an original envelope handwritten by Audrey Hepburn and addressed to and sent from Italy (Ms. Hepburn resided there from the 60s through the 80s) to FASHION DESIGNER to the stars: David Hayes (1931-2019) in Los Angeles. This was addressed to David Hayes by the superstar and sent by her to his showroom in THE NEW MART in L.A., which he leased until 2004 when he moved his showroom to a different LA location. The handwriting on this envelop, even though it is more than THIRTY YEARS OLD, it crisp and bold. Most likely attributable to the kind of pen Ms. Hepburn utilized. In David Hayes' 2019 obituary it states: He had a larger than life personality to match his larger than life work ethic. David became the go-to designer of some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Zsa Zsa and Eva Gabor, Audrey Hepburn, Linda Evans, Joan Collins, Anne Jeffreys, Phyllis Diller, Barbara Rush and at the time First Lady, Nancy Reagan favored his classic tailoring and superb design aesthetic. In 1981, he was nominated and adducted into the Los Angeles Fashion Hall of Fame.There are numerous Audrey Hepburn autographs available, this is truly a ONE OF KIND collectors item.
