There is an old professional restoration, only visible on the back. Otherwise fine with no holes, tears or missing paint. The original salon frame has minor scratches due to the age. Frans Bernhard Olsson (1900-1976) Swedish Marine painter and sea captain. He took lessons from professor of art Erik Jerkén in Stockholm as well as at the Art College in Middlesborough. He started his carrier as a seaman on sailing ships at 14, and ending, after more than 50 years as captain of a tanker.
