Description: Cartier bringin’ a whole lot of Art Deco to their iconic Tank with the Americaine. Such a cool piece of design - and beautiful to see in solid 18k white gold with original strap and white gold buckle! REF: 2490 YEAR: early 2000s DIAL: The silver dial has so much depth with that gorgeous guilloche pattern. The Roman numerals are quintessential Cartier. And as you can see even in macro it’s in fantastic condition, including the sapphire crystal. CASE: 23mm x 42MM solid 18k white gold case. It’s the same width as a vintage men’s Cartier Tank but then spreads across the entirety of the wrist - such a funky design and extremely comfortable to wear (photographed on my 6.6 inch wrist.) Case appears unpolished with sharp lines and beautiful brushing on the sides. Light scratches throughout, as expected being solid gold, but presents beautifully. LOVE the chunky crown on these, and of course the classic blue cabachon! MOVEMENT: Cartier automatic movement winding smoothly, setting perfectly, including quick set date. Service history unknown but timegrapher numbers are perfect at 0 seconds a day with a very healthy amplitude of 301.
