Description: An antique early Staffordshire Georgian pearlware figurine of Charity, dating from circa 1800 or earlier. The figurine is approximately 7.25 inches tall. I've checked the figurine over with a blacklight and nothing glows - it is all original. There are some typical manufacturing flaws like little kiln firing lines and flat spots etc. The paint on her left eye is smudged (it was made this way, and the tip of the pen is pointing to it). There is a small shallow flake to the cross the child is holding, some tiny nicks around the base, and there is either a manufacturing flaw or reseated shallow flake atop the head of the child standing to her left - the tip of the pen is pointing to these. There is some wear to the paint. Please see the photos for details. Thank you for looking! i1 Track Page Views With Auctiva's FREE Counter
