Illustrated. This book contains 3 foldout maps, one of the City of Savannah, one of the Georgia Central Railroad and its connections, and one of the Atlantic and Gulf Railway and connections. CONDITION Acceptable. Exterior with stains and wear. Separation of the cloth along the back joint. Fraying at top and bottom of spine. Foxing and stains and some creases. There is one spot along lower edge that looks like it could have been caused by a cigarette burn. There are a couple of pages have have pieces torn off, one of which is the page before the title page, but this affect no text. Also the last page at the back of the book, which is an advertising page, and this affects a part of that. The back inside endpaper is missing. There is a foldout map at the front and the bottom piece is separated from the body. COMMENTS SCARCE FIRST EDITION HISTORY BOOK The book covers the city's history from its origins until the time the book was printed. It contains a listed of all the soldiers who served during the Civil War. At the back are advertisements from any the city's merchants and professionals.
