Description: Condition Continued: They are all in excellent condition (the inside covers and end papers that is), perfectly clean, no wear. That accurately describes the condition of all the pages. They are semi-glossy and exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I'm not finding any instances of soiling. I'm also not finding any instances of creasing. And there are no markings or attachments, and no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. As you would expect, there are a tremendous number of photographs, color photographs, quite interesting to look at and all in exceptional condition. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. I have always had it in a fitted protective cover. I don't see any soiling. There is some very light toning. I don't see any tears. The flaps are in nice condition, very clean. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. I will warn ahead of having taken the photos that the protective cover will attract glare so you won't mistake it for something else. This is a large and heavy book. I am offering free shipping. The book will be sent in a box and securely packaged in bubble wrap. Material World Books and Ten Speed Press, Napa, California, 2005. Hardcover in Dust Jacket. Written by Faith D'alusio. Photography by Peter Menzel. Foreword by Marion Nestle. Essays by Alfred W. Crosby, Francine R. Kaufman, Corby Kummer, Charles C. Mann, Michael Pollan, and Carl Safina Stated First Printing. From the dust jacket: 'In Hungry Planet, the creative team behind the best-selling Material World books, Peter Menzel and Faith D'alusio, presents a photographic study of families from around the world, revealing what people eat during the course of one week. Each family's profile includes a detailed description of their weekly food purchases; photographs of the family at home, at the market, and in their community; and a portrait of the entire family surrounded by a week's worth of groceries. To assemble this remarkable comparison Menzel and D'alusio traveled to twenty-four countries and visited thirty families from Bhutan and Bosnia to Mexico and Mongolia.'
