Description: Exceptional Kaywoodie Relief Grain 96 Prince Vintage Pipe 1955-1972, PRISTINE Condition. Super Clean, Polished. Great Blast Grain, Elegant Ebonite Stem, Waxed. USA *** PLEASE REVIEW DIMENSIONS BEFORE PURCHASING SO IT IS THE SIZE YOU WANT. - P I have one of the largest Kaywoodie collections out there without doubt. I love them and can say I’ve only had a couple Princes in this relief grain and this is the last of them. It’s a beauty and in mint condition. - P This pipe is absolutely mint condition. I bet it looks better than when new even. :) It is an exceptional Kaywoodie in condition, blast grain, stem and all respects. It looked great when I received it but after several hours of meticulous work, it looks amazing. (if I do say so myself) I just love the shape 96 and it’s one of 2 that I consider the top I’ve had for this shape and finish. It has been lightly smoked and if not for some carbon in the chamber, you would not know if it was new or not. Amazing for a pipe made 50-75 years ago! The Kaywoodie #96 Prince is one of the best if not my favorite Prince shapes out there. I love it and it’s less common than other shapes so finding one in great shape is very fun. They particularly look good in the sandblasted Relief Grain by Kaywoodie as well. This 1955-1972 #96 is in excellent condition all around. The round insert indicates an earlier version usually (closer to ‘55 than ‘72 and higher quality. At least, this has been attested to by multiple KW authorities though I cannot confirm 100%. There’s no damage or issues of any note on the pipe. The chamber is in great shape and very clean, the rim is free of charring or carbon build up and stamping is clear. The long, partially bent elegant stem is a deep, shiny black with no tooth chatter or marks and aligns straight and true. The stinger is intact, clean and highly polished as well as all metal surfaces. Stamping is excellent which is rare as they’re so often stamped into the sandblast area but this one is done very well. After cleaning, it was gently buffed to a nice shine with very find White Diamond and given fresh coats of carnauba wax before being hand buffed until it feels good in the hand and looks great. - Peter *Note: Due to the high polish & cleaning, screw-in stems may be loose at first. Not to worry, this will subside after just a few smokes. - You get what you pay for. My pipes are all carefully inspected and attended to in order to provide the best possible. Meticulous restorations are done as needed to give the best possible pipe. Please check out my reviews to see my commitment to this! The photos provide you an important part of the condition as well as the description and dimensions. Carefully review these and ask any questions prior to purchase. - Peter The Stats: Brand: Kaywoodie Line: Relief Grain (Kaywoodie Sandblast Technique) Shape/Model: 96 Estimated Age: 1955-72 Nomenclature/ Markings: Kaywoodie Relief Grain 96 Dimensions: Length: 6.45” Bowl Height: 1.45” Bowl Width: 1.50” Chamber Diameter: 0.82” Chamber Depth: 1.30” Weight: 1.2oz / 33 grams Filter: 3-Hole Stinger condenser for a cool, dry smoke. Please message me on this any time. I will only charge the cost of the postage plus insurance as it’s a bit more risky. It’s about $1 per $100 of insurance. If the cost of shipping to your area is less, I’ll refund any excess charges as well. - ABOUT ME: I am obsessed with the hobby and have a deep love for it in all respects. I collect pipes and grow my cellar while enjoying several bowls a day. I have invested a large amount of money into my shop and I am always working on improving. As soon as I’m able to get a home with the room, I’ll build my own shop and be making pipes much of the day too. It has to be home as I always need to be close to my son. - I am a stay-at-home dad for my special needs son who is amazing and my pride and joy. I really needed a way to feel accomplishment and stay busy while trying to earn a bit extra for equine therapy and other services that will help him and have fun too. This has really helped a lot and while stressful at times, such a fun thing to spend time doing. I do struggle to reply here and there if a lot is going on. If I take a bit longer to reply to questions or requests, I apologize in advance. SHIPPING TIMES / LOST ITEMS: I don’t own the United States Postal Service. Once I’ve shipped your package, I have NO control on delays. I almost always will ship the same or next business day. I put within 1-3 business days as sometimes on busier weeks, I’ll need an extra day to properly pack everything. I’ve never had an item arrive damaged. In most cases, I have a poly bag on top to make it rain resistant and a bit more secure. The exception is if the package is larger than standard. I don’t profit off of the shipping fee. My fees are for postage and materials only. RETURNS: If you’re not 100% happy, please let me know. I’ll do whatever is fair to fix any problems. I accept returns within 1 week of arrival (unless stated as longer) and I can be flexible there. We all have lives. Returns accepted provided that: The item has not been used. It is in exact same condition as the photos in the ad and when I sent it out. Buyer pays shipping for returns unless there is an error on my end in which case I will cover the cost. I almost never get a return. I try hard to not have any surprises and you get what you see or better in person. I RARELY ever get a return. I can count on one hand how many, over several years and it’s usually because the pipe is smaller or larger than a customer expected. This is why I ask twice in the ad to review dimensions I carefully take. If you have any concerns about size, I’m happy to provide a few more photos to you with some size comparisons of your request. Refunds are for the cost of the pipes shipping if it’s your choice. If there’s a mistake on my part, I’ll pay for all of course. I very much want you to be extremely happy with your purchases. Not just for business, but because I’m an enthusiast and want the same myself. If you ever have questions on any of this, feel free to email me. I’ll respond as soon as it’s possible. The site can spam my inbox a lot or glitches can happen, so sometimes they get lost or buried beneath others. Feel free to send again if I don’t reply as it’s never intentional. ~ Peter - Radiant Pipes
