In this French picture, Mary and Jesus are giving the Rosary to St. Domnic as well as St. Catherine of Sienna, a great Saint and Doctor of the Church, who was a Dominican and lived about a century and a half later. She is shown with a crown of thorns because she lived with much physical suffering. The Dominicans are huge advocates of the Rosary. We hope to have a holy card re-print soon of this picture, with the 20 mysteries of the Rosary on the back. It took us a long time to restore it, and it was a privilege.
