I have wiped the jars down with just water. You may want to do a deeper cleaning. These have been in a store in a large room with over 800 Cookie Jars. I will be listing more cookie jars for weeks to come as I get the time. A general note: Vintage glass and pottery items may have occasional color, size and production variations, production swirling, occasional light scratches, etc but I do note anything obvious or excessive that I find. Unfortunately if you want vintage, its hard to find 100 percent perfect/new but I also like quality and don't buy things that are damaged but I do try to mention it when I do.
