Description: This is an original John James Audubon aquatint engraving from the 1834 Havell edition, of the Lincoln Finch, plate 193. It has been trimmed to 19” x 27 3/4” from the original size of 26 1/2” x 39”, but still hasmost of the J. Whatman watermark , with a partial last A and the N missing. It was found in and olderframe, probably framed over 100 years ago, but was well protected from the back, with a tissue typepaper backing. It has minor, small spots of foxing and minor waviness in the paper on the top left, butin remarkably god condition, still with vibrant colors. I will ship it flat and well protected, it’s laid flat for190 years.
