Pair of Antique 1830 - 1837 John Ridgway & Co. 9" Plates England Coat of Arms

Description: This is a Pair of Antique John Ridgway & Co. Stoneware 9" Plates made in England between 1830 - 1837. These Plates have the English Coat of Arms as a maker's mark with a J. R. in the ribbon near the bottom center. This mark was used by John Ridgway & Co from 1830 - 1837. John Ridgway & Co. was in business from 1813 - 1854. These Plates are in Good condition with chips and crazing. The Plate on the left in the first picture has four edge chips visible from the face. See red arrows in the 5th picture. The plate on the right in the first picture has 5 small chips along the edge and one large chip. Only one small chip is visible from the face. The rest can only be seen from the bottom. The bottom base rim has two large chips. See last three pictures. These Plates are 9" in diameter and weigh about 1 LB each. These Plates have some chip issues but are almost 200 years old and are a piece of history. Most of the items I sell are estate finds, and are presented to you in, as is, as found condition. They are described to the best of my knowledge. Some wear is to be expected, unless described as flawless or mint.
