DESCRIPTION: Vintage art pottery vase by BERNICE TALBOT (1918-2013), Oglala Lakota Sioux. Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota. Red clay with cream colored slip. Geometric sgraffito decoration. Glossy clear glaze. Signed: incised signature on bottom "Pine Ridge Sioux - B. Talbot" with pine tree. Mid 20th century I believe. CONDITION: Excellent original condition. No damage and no significant wear. No restorations / repairs. No dings, scratches, nicks, bruises, scuffs, rubs, chips, flakes, fleabites, cracks. Clean as found, inside and out. No stains or discolorations. No scale or residues. I see no evidence this vase was ever used to contain anything. Typical all-over, uniform crazing. No under-glaze staining.
