Vintage "IAK" K Zildjian 16" Dark Crash Cymbal Paper Thin/Light 1086g 80's/90's!

Description: Rare K Zildjian 16" Dark Crash Cymbal. 1086g. Pre-Serial Number with Upside Down Block Logo. This cymbal is in mint/excellent preowned condition. No cracks, key-holing, damage or issues. The cymbal shows some minor scuffs and some faint spots on top, and a few fingerprints underneath. Clean. Logos are intact, slightly faded. See photos.. The K Dark Crash is said to be a "Dark, warm, low-pitched crash. Complex, full-bodied. Very musical." IAK is the Intermediate American K era from 1988-1993, characterized by wide lathing & upside down block logos. Here is a little information on K Zildjian Dark Crashes, IAK era and this cymbal: The K Dark Crash was introduced with the K Zildjian Line in 1982, in 1993 the K Dark Crash added weight designations: Dark Crash Thin and Dark Crash Medium Thin, which are still in production today. This one has an upside-down "Dark Crash" block logo, so most likely produced from 1988-1992. (And at 1086 grams, this Dark Crash is more like a Thin, than a Medium Thin) The IAK Era Dark Crash Cymbals had Wide Lathing and Block Logos, which were printed upside down until around the time "thin" and "medium thin" weight designations were added in 1993. K Zildjian switched to fine lathing around 2000 and switched to the Art Deco logo around 2004.. So these IAK era dark crashes slightly rare and unique to the K dark crashes from today.
