Description: Rare Stevenson & Williams Harvard College Historical Staffordshire Plate 1820s. Rare dark blue historical staffordshire transferware pearlware plate in the Harvard College pattern by Ralph Stevenson & Williams circa 1825 - 1827. Has a scene of Harvard College and the end of university hall with two people in the foreground. Marked on the reverse Harvard College. The later views of Harvard can be found but this early one is very tough to find in any condition. Has typical knife marks and usage wear, staining of the type that may soak out and a 2 inch crack extending off the edge. No other damage. Measures approximately 10 1/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
