No broken pieces no rips or tears. The shock cords definitely need to be adjusted or replaced,yet sets up without adjusting as shown. Weight is approximately 6 pounds comes with rain fly, stakes and the 3 tent poles. Set-up instruction are print on the carry bag. I have a tent, same shape, same characteristics the two door access allows for two cots to be placed in it, and each person sleeping on the cot can exit out their own door. Because of its freestanding attributes it’s a great desert camping tent, can be pitched on solid rock.
