Description: Up for sale today is a very special horn! This fabulous Selmer mark vi alto sax has a serial number of 213,xxx and was ordered as a special order horn from Selmer w/ a factory f#. This horn is in gorgeous condition and original with 95% of its finish remaining. It’s also been overhauled by the legendary, late Ken Beason. Ken was one of the most talented sax techs to ever lay his hands on saxophones. Sadly he passed away last year but this horn has had very low playing time since the overhaul. His overhauls alone were $1200 and last forever. Comes with his custom key clamps, original neck in perfect shape and original Selmer case. This horn plays lights out and has the sought after medium bow which are known to play with best timbre and intonation of the entire mark vi run. Players like Eric Mariethal have played similar vintage their entire career. This also comes with extra factory engraving which you rarely find on these vintage sizes.
