Shipping Comments:For these Smithsonian magazines in particular, I want to highlight that I am always happy to combine & reduce shipping. I have NO built-in handling/seller fees. I am shipping based on actual weight-to-destination. I am not a business, though, just an individual with some extras.Sadly, due to U.S.P.S. laws about Book Rate/Media Mail rate, I cannot ship Smithsonian mags at Media rate, due to the presence of advertisements, no matter how old they are. The best I can do is try and see whether a parcel, flat-rate envelope, or priority rate is best, depending upon your location from me, and as well how many (1, or more than 1, etc.) Smithsonian's you want.** 10 to 15 qty. Smithsonian's (depending on era, and thickness) can fit into a flat-rate box; 2-3 can fit into a flat-rate envelope, depending on thickness (e.g., late 1970's thru earlier 1990's are much thicker than the vintage 1970's, and/or the late 90's thru 2000's for instance). ** Otherwise, I can do any amount in a general parcel. ~ ~ ~ Please feel free to ask any questions, and I am happy to help. Combined shipping on multiple Smithsonian items is welcome! I also have more pictures of each item than the 12 eBay gives us space to show, so I can always provide more images upon your request. Thank you, ______________________________________________________ When you subscribed to Smithsonian, you were not just obtaining a mere periodical, but you gained an actual membership in the Smithsonian Institution itself, as a citizen "Associate". This magazine was the brainchild of S. Dillon Ripley, the legendary longtime (1964-1984) Secretary of the Institution, and the co-founder/1st Editor was the renown Edward K. Thompson. The magazine's raison d'etre was basically everything under the sun . . . not about the Smithsonian really, but 'of the Smithsonian'. To wit: "...everything Americans are interested in, might be interested in, or ...ought to be interested in..." To this day, Smithsonian was recently ranked as 'America's Most Interesting Magazine'.
