The 2:3 aspect ratio is the standard size for artistic works, whereas the 2:4 aspect ratio (an 8x10 photograph) is the standard aspect ratio for a portrait. A 2:3 aspect ratio is the most appealing aspect ratio for works of art because it showcases the full scope of work without cropping off part of the environment. The 8x12 print size allows the consumer to display their art as a true 8x12 or mounted in a matting substrate that has a cut out for an 8x12 or 8x10. About the Artist:Hi, my name is Linda March. I am a Southeast Louisiana based portrait and landscape photographer, mixed-media artist, author and avid gardener. Although I opened my brick and mortar business, Linda March Photography / Studio 61, in 2015, my days as a photographer began as a teenager photographing lightning on the back of my Father's shrimp boat. At that time, I experienced a love for capturing a moment of time in a suspended state. My time spent on my Daddy's boat and accompanying him on his many adventures in the woods fueled my love for nature and her constantly changing ways. My proximity to New Orlean's rich culture, historic architecture and diverse street art captivated my love for man-made creations. Often times I have described myself as a "Country Mouse and City Mouse", equally happy in both, grateful to be in the moment. As an adult, I've had the opportunity to travel from my Bayou State to many interesting cities and communities, photographing a large variety of subject matter. My artistic style is free, liberating and honest. In 2019, I started Third Class Trash as a sub-division of Linda March Photography / Studio 61 so I could offer my works available for purchase to an online audience. Please feel free to message me with any questions you have regarding my work.
