Description: U.S. NAVY NON MAGNETIC U.S. DIVERS AQUAMSTER TWO HOSE 2 STAGE REGULATOR I have owned around 15 of these non-mags over the years and no two have been identical. I think each Navy UDT team were building and maintaining their own regulators and they were made according to their budget and use. The main requirement was the absence of chrome plated parts as chromium has magnetism which doesn't go well with magnetic mine disposal. Some of these regs had gold plated parts to protect against salt water corrosion, others didn't. Some had various stamps signifying that the part was tested for magnetism, others didn't. And most had a non machined hookah fitting but this one is machined and since I didn't have the original non plated cap, I've installed a chrome plated cap that I painted black just to complete the regulator. So under no circumstances should you try to defuse a magnetic mine with this regulator!This one is fairly clean although the serial number is partially rubbed off, either by normal wear or intentionally (some of these regulators walked out the back door when the Navy diver retired or was discharged). It is fully functional and has been completely disassembled, cleaned and adjusted along with new valves and hoses installed. Its ready to use or display.
