Description: Vintage plastic souvenir doll dressed in a beautiful taffeta costume with a white underskirt trimmed in ribbons, with a bright turquoise overskirt and blouse with beaded ribbon trim and lace. Peaking out from the overskirt is a red apron piped in colorful ribbons and black fringe. She has large puffy sleeves and long drop earrings with multiple gold medallions hanging from eight chains which are glued to her bodice. She has reddish brown hair and traditional head gear in matching turquoise. Her features are painted with beautiful blue eyes with long lashes, arched thin eyebrows, and a rosebud red mouth. She has pale pink form fitting tights and black flat shoes. Underneath her clothes is a stiff netting skirt which has some dye stains. On the bottom of one shoe is a printed label "Made in Greece" and on the other shoe is a hand-written label "Macedonia." The doll is from my mother LaVerne Hammond's collection. Her notecard indicates she acquired it in August 1995 at a thrift shop.
