The design is a cross hatch border. If there are white or dark spots on my photos, it is camera flash or reflection of background unless noted otherwise, not an imperfection. This charm is marked Sterling silver. There is no engraving on the back of this heart charm. The charm is in good condition, with no dings or dents. The heart charm measures approximately 5/8" across in size. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT COMPUTER MONITORS ARE NOT ALL CALIBRATED ALIKE.
