The necklace is rendered in bronze tone metal with an elaborate and highly detailed chain. At the front of the necklace are three rhinestone-studded elements with detailed representations of cluster of grapes. The center cluster is the largest, is highly dimensional, and has a filigree back. It appears from the design that the faceted prong-set intensely purple rhinestones are foil-backed. At each side of the center cluster is a smaller grape cluster, very detailed and three-dimensional, the stones not prong-set. The necklace fastens with a wonderful metal button lock clasp, patent 407440, also marked “PAT.2007” on the outside ring of the clasp; it is not clear whether this is a date or a style number. The necklace is definitely vintage in style and incorporates vintage elements. Please see my photos for the specifics of the design; my photos are an integral part of my description. The necklace has a wearable length of approximately 17 1/2 inches. The center grapes cluster measures approximately 1 3/4 inches tall. The necklace is in excellent pre-owned condition.
